Raymond Scott’s melodies were used in over 140 classic Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoons.  His early recordings sound like vintage cartoon music, and his melodies have perked up ears on The Simpsons, Ren & Stimpy, and Animaniacs.  But Scott never wrote a note for a cartoon in his life!  He composed jazz novelties and orchestral pieces, as well as works for film, TV, ballet and Broadway.  He also invented and composed with electronic instruments, foreshadowing today’s trends.  This package features original Scott recordings and dozens of fascinating cover versions in different styles.  Scott was a composer of many moods, and no single category can define him.
